Pharrell Williams - Happy (2013)

Als ich die Jahreszahl gelesen habe, dachte ich erst: "Echt, so lang schon." (Textzeile aus Freundeskreis - FK10, was nochmal 6 Jahre älter ist)
Es erschien zunächst als Beitrag für den Soundtrack zum Animationsfilm Ich – Einfach Unverbesserlich 2 und wurde später auch als Single veröffentlicht. Im September 2015 wurde Happy in Deutschland mit einer diamantenen Schallplatte für über eine Million verkaufter Einheiten ausgezeichnet. Damit zählt die Single zu den meistverkauften Singles in Deutschland.
Zusammen mit der Singleveröffentlichung ging die Website 24hoursofhappy.com live, die laut eigener Aussage „das erste 24-stündige Musikvideo der Welt“ zeigt. Das Video besteht aus jeweils vierminütigen Abschnitten, in denen verschiedene Personen zur Musik tanzen. Das besondere hierbei ist, dass die Szenen so hintereinander geschnitten sind, dass der Eindruck entsteht, die nächste Person würde an der Stelle anfangen zu tanzen, an der die vorherige Person aufhörte und somit ein 24-stündiger Rundkurs durch die Stadt entsteht. Neben zahlreichen unbekannten Personen treten auch Williams (am Anfang jeder vollen Stunde) sowie Odd Future (1:48 PM), Steve Carell (5:08 PM), Jamie Foxx (5:28 PM), Ana Ortiz (5:32 PM), Miranda Cosgrove (5:40 PM), JoJo (6:16 PM), Kelly Osbourne (1:28 AM), Magic Johnson (5:36 AM), Sérgio Mendes (10:32 AM) und Jimmy Kimmel (11:48 AM) im Video auf. Auch die Minions aus dem Film Ich – Einfach Unverbesserlich 2 haben kurze Auftritte im Video.
Der Nutzer kann selbst zu den verschiedenen Segmenten springen. Daneben erschien auch eine vierminütige Version des Videos bei YouTube. Und die zeige ich euch heute:

Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop The Feeling (2016)

Justin Randall Timberlake (* 31. Januar 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee) ist ein US-amerikanischer Popmusiker, Komponist, Moderator und Schauspieler. Einem breiten Publikum wurde er Ende der 1990er-Jahre als Mitglied und Frontsänger der Boygroup *NSYNC bekannt. Mit der Veröffentlichung seiner Alben Justified und FutureSex/LoveSounds entwickelte sich Timberlake in den 2000er-Jahren zu einem kommerziell erfolgreichen und mit mehreren Musikpreisen ausgezeichneten Solokünstler. Auch sein Comeback 2013 mit den Alben The 20/20 Experience und The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 war ein weltweiter Erfolg.

Ich finde einige Lieder von ihm gut. Das folgende aber passt super zum Gute-Laune-Song von Pharrel Williams. Zwischen den beiden Songs liegen 3 Jahre, entdeckt habe ich sie fast zeitgleich. Man bin ich alt...

Ingo Insterburg & Co. - Ich Liebte Ein Mädchen (1973)

Ingo Insterburg, eigentlich Ingo Wetzker (* 6. April 1934 in Insterburg, Ostpreußen; † 27. Oktober 2018 in Berlin), war ein deutscher Musik-Kabarettist, Komiker, Sänger, Multiinstrumentalist, Schriftsteller, Schauspieler, Komponist, Maler, Zeichner und Bastler.

An der Oberschule Bernburg (heute Gymnasium Carolinum Bernburg) erwarb er das Abitur, danach zog er 1953 nach West-Berlin und studierte dort von 1954 bis 1959 Kunstpädagogik an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste. 1959 begleitete er Klaus Kinski als Guitar-Ingo bei dessen Brechtballaden und spielte als Solo-Gitarrist die EP Guitar-Ingo ein. Zusammen mit Karl Dall, Jürgen Barz und Peter Ehlebracht gründete er 1967 die Komikergruppe Insterburg & Co., die in dieser Zusammensetzung bis 1979 bestand. Zu seinen bekanntesten Liedern dieser Zeit gehört Ich liebte ein Mädchen, in dem Insterburg meist wenig ergiebige Liebesversuche in verschiedenen Stadtteilen Berlins, in deutschen Städten und dann in Staaten und Regionen der Erde besingt, bis diese ihn schließlich auf den Mars führen.

EVERGLOW - La Di Da (2020)

Obwohl ich mit dieser Gruppe (und K-Pop generell) eigentlich fast nichts zu tun hatte, fing Instagram mir irgendwann an zahlreiche Bilder und Videos von K-Pop Künstlern und Künstlerinnen reinzuspülen. Darunter auch irgendwann Profile (hauptsächlich Fanaccounts glaub ich?) der beiden Mitglieder Aisha und Wang Yiren von Everglow. Unter den Posts war dann ein Teil der Choreografie dieses Songs dabei. Ich fand den reinen Klang des Songausschnitts super und habe deshalb direkt danach auf Youtube gesucht. Mir persönlich gefällt diese Mischung aus modernem upbeat Synthpops, K-Pop und den minimalen Touch 80's.

Ich mag diese alten Hip-Hop-Klassiker. Der hier ist immerhin 24 Jahre alt.

MC Lyte heißt eigentlich Lana Michele Moore (* 11. Oktober 1971) und ist US-amerikanische Rapperin und Schauspielerin. Sie entdeckte ihr Rap-Talent in den 80ern, als Hip-Hop noch komplett eine Männerdomäne war. Das Plattenlabel Priority Records wurde auf sie aufmerksam, bei dem bereits Rapgrößen wie N.W.A, Master P, Ice Cube, Mack 10 und Snoop Dogg waren. 1988 kam dann auch ihre erste LP raus. Auskopplungen aus ihrem zweiten Album schafften es in die US-R&B-Charts. 1993 war sie mit Ruffneck sogar in den Top 10.
Ihre bekanntesten Songs sind die 1996er Singles "Keep On, Keep On" und eben "Cold Rock A Party". Beide Songs waren in den Top 5 und auch in den deutschen, schweizerischen und britischen Charts vertreten.

Missy Elliott, ist US-amerikanische Rapperin, Sängerin, Songwriterin und Produzentin und heißt eigentlich Melissa Arnette Elliott. Sie ist ebenfalls Baujahr 71 und wurde einer der ersten weiblichen Superstars des Hip-Hop.
Missy gründete mit LaShawn Shellman, Chonita Coleman und Radiah Scott die R&B-Gruppe Sista, stellte die Mädels ihrem Freund aus Kindertagen Tim Mosley, heute deutlich bekannter unter seinem Künstlernamen Timbaland, vor.

Als Zwölfjähriger schaute Moagi anderen Kindern in seinem Dorf dabei zu, wie sie mit ihren Computern Musik machten. Fatboy Slim, geboren am 31. Juli 1963 als Quentin Leo Cook in Bromley, London, ist ein britischer Musiker. Weitere Pseudonyme, unter denen er seine Musik veröffentlicht, sind Norman Cook, Pizzaman und Son of a Cheeky Boy.
Vormals Bassist bei The Housemartins, begann er 1988 mit seiner Solokarriere, gründete 1989 mit Linda Layton die Band Beats International (die nur bis 1991 bestand), 1993 mit John Reid das House-Projekt Pizzaman und ebenfalls 1993 mit Gareth Hansome alias GMoney die Mighty Dub Katz. Zudem war er zwischen 1994 und 1997 Mitglied der Funkpop-Band Freak Power.

Zu seinen größten Hits als Fatboy Slim zählen Right Here, Right Now und The Rockafeller Skank, welches das Titellied von FIFA 99 war, sowie Praise You.
Ebenso bekannt sind die Musikvideos, die seine Songs auf MTV, VIVA und sonstigen Portalen visuell unterstützen, die unter anderem die Evolutionsgeschichte des Menschen humoristisch aufarbeiten (Right Here, Right Now, Regie: Hammer & Tongs) oder eine Amateurtanztruppe beim fröhlichen Tanz zeigen (Praise You, Regie: Spike Jonze). Das Video zu Weapon of Choice mit Hollywood-Star Christopher Walken (ebenfalls von Regisseur Spike Jonze) gewann im April 2002 die Wahl zum "besten Video aller Zeiten" aus der Liste der Top-100-Musikvideos. Diese wurden in einer Umfrage unter Musikern, Regisseuren und Verantwortlichen im Umfeld der Musikindustrie durch den britischen Musiksender VH1 zur Wahl gestellt.

William "Bootsy" Collins, geboren am 26. Oktober 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio, ist ein amerikanischer Bassist und seit den späten 1960er Jahren eine prägende Figur des Funk. Seine erste wichtige Rolle spielte er gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Catfish Collins in der Band von James Brown, bevor er sich George Clinton und seinem P-Funk-Imperium anschloss. Collins Bass ist zum Beispiel in James Browns Erfolgsstück "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine" zu hören.
2004 kündigte er an, nicht mehr öffentlich spielen zu wollen. Er ist jedoch noch immer aktiv und arbeitete zuletzt bei Stücken von Snoop Dogg, Fatboy Slim, Stefan Raab, Victor Wooten und Toots and the Mayals mit. Er ist auch auf dem Soundtrack zum Film (T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1 zu hören.

Musik und Text zu Weapon of Choice stammen von Fatboy Slim. Das Lied erschien zunächst im November 2000 auf Fatboy Slims drittem Studioalbum Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars beim Plattenlabel Skint Records. Die Singleauskopplung erfolgte am 23. April 2001 zusammen mit Star 69, einem weiteren Lied von jenem Album, als Doppel-A-Seite
Obwohl Star 69 der erstgenannte Titel der Doppel-A-Seite-Single war, wurde das Musikvideo für das zweitgenannte Stück Weapon of Choice produziert. Diese Entscheidung traf die Plattenfirma wegen der vielen Fluchworte in Star 69 – im Liedtext taucht über vierzig Mal das Wort “fuck” auf, und der Titel wird manchmal durch den Klammerzusatz “What the f**k” ergänzt.

Als Kulisse diente das Marriott-Hotel in Los Angeles, der Dreh dauerte zwei Tage. Einziger Darsteller ist der damals 58-jährige Christopher Walken (heute 78!), der auch bei der Ausarbeitung der Choreografie half. Fatboy Slim tritt in den Videos zu seinen Liedern grundsätzlich nicht auf, ist hier aber in Form eines an der Wand hängenden Porträts zu sehen.
Walken hatte zu Beginn seiner Karriere eine Musical-Tanzausbildung am angesehenen Actors Studio absolviert, kann steppen und gilt als begabter Tänzer. Dass er in seine Filmrollen stets zumindest eine kleinere Tanzszene integriert, wird inzwischen als eine Art Markenzeichen Walkens angesehen.
Jonze hatte Walken bei Saturday Night Live steppen gesehen und wollte ihn daraufhin für das Video besetzen. Er beschrieb die Bedeutung der Person Walkens für den Clip in einem Interview mit dem Musikmagazin Spin später so:

It wasn’t that Christopher Walken was the first choice — if he didn’t want to do it, it wasn’t really an idea.
